Vibe yellowfin kayak reviews12/10/2023 The bit right in front of the cupholder is the perfect size for a scotty base that you can mount things to. The YF100 changed my life! Between those, this thing is a Ferrari. I had a pelican sit inside from big box store. Wow, you're in a very similar place to me when I bought it. So idk if I get it this month, or just wait until they are back in stock and just have it shipped. The other negative is regardless of which one I get, I have to drive 6 hours to get it. I do like the layout of the YF100 over the YF120 at the moment, I like the 4 rod holders and 2 dry compartments.Īrrgh, decisions. I'm still new so Im not making a big fuss over tracking now but once I do this more Im sure it will be an issue. I love my throw and go Pelican now (its only 45 lbs) but if I get the 100 now I may wish I had something bigger for more room to spread out down the road. I've got the same specs as you, 5'11 210 so im concerned about the stability - I just want to stand and stretch my legs (and pee), I don't need to stand and fish. I found this on marketplace, and I noticed it doesn't have the tracks, and the front is different from the current model.Īccording to my spreadsheet (lol) the YF100 is 57lbs and the YF120 is 65 lbs, although it looks like it should be heavier than that. Hey, thanks for the feedback on it, I really appreciate it - so is this essentially the YF100 that you have? Unless you want a simple throw and go boat, then the 100 is great. However, I think if you can spend the extra, I would skip the 100 and go with any of those other options. It's set up just right for me now and I've caught countless fish in 3 years out of it. It sounds like a negative review, but I do love my boat. A model with a rudder seems like a prerequisite now. It was a $40 upgrade that's been one of the best. I didn't realize how poor until I installed that, it's night and day. I also added a skeg this year because the tracking is pretty poor. My version doesn't have any gear tracks which I believe are included now and I would love to have them. I'm not sure what the other ones weigh, but I could easily put another few pounds on my roof rack without much trouble. The 120 didn't exist then, but the sea ghost models did. I think if were a smaller guy (I'm only about 5' 10", 185) I might be able to without feeling tippy. I thought I would be able to cause others said they could. It's great, but I don't feel comfortable standing except for short duration to do my business.
